Disc Golf
Enjoy golf, but don’t like to carry all of those heavy clubs? Try disc golf! Disc golf shares the same joys and frustrations of golf. You can make a long “putt” into the basket or accidentally hit a tree with your disc halfway down the fairway. Either way, disc golf is a fun and affordable way to get outside and be social!
What is Disc Golf?
Disc golf is played with flying discs that are thrown from a tee down a fairway until you reach the "hole" (basically, a basket). Each hole is assigned a "par" rating, which is the recommended number of throws to reach the basket. The goal is to complete each "hole" in the fewest number of throws. Disc golf has the familiar frustrations (and fun) of golf, but without the heavy price tag of club memberships and course fees. It is often played in public and state parks and can be practiced in your own backyard with a portable disc golf basket.
