Past Adventures

Andorra + Barcelona, Spain
In February 2025, we traveled to the Pyrenees and beyond for a unique blend of mountain adventure and urban exploration. The trip began in Andorra, a small country nestled between France and Spain, where our group stayed in Soldeu at the Sport Hotel—a charming alpine-style hotel with modern comforts.
Guests enjoyed fabulous breakfast and dinner buffets that left no one hungry, and appreciated the convenience of having the gondola and ski lockers just across the street, offering easy access to the expansive Grandvalira ski area, which features over 140 slopes and 215 km of ski trails, plus off-piste options. The weather cooperated beautifully, with a couple days of fresh powder and occasional fog that was easy to escape by moving to another area of the mountain. According to one traveler: “I think it’s safe to say everyone enjoyed the skiing.”
During our stay, many in the group also visited Andorra la Vella, the country’s capital, known for duty-free shopping, local dining, and even outdoor Salvador Dalí sculptures.
After five days in the mountains, we continued to Barcelona, Spain for a two-night stay at the Avenida Palace, a centrally located hotel with a rooftop pool and panoramic views—including the stunning Sagrada Familia. From there, guests explored the old city, visited Casa Batlló (designed by Antoni Gaudí), and wandered along Rambla de Catalunya, lined with open-air dining and boutique shopping. A few even spotted the famously quirky Caganer figurines hidden throughout the city.
It was a memorable trip filled with great snow, culture, food, and laughter—an experience well worth adding to your bucket list.
Dolomites, Italy
In March 2024, the Uller’s crew headed to the Dolomiti Superski region in northern Italy for an unforgettable ski week in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey began with a motorcoach departure from our York store to Newark International Airport, followed by a nonstop flight to Milan. From there, guests traveled by private coach through the scenic Italian countryside to Vigo di Fassa, nestled in the shadow of the Catinaccio mountains.
Our home base for the week was the 4-star Alpen Hotel Corona, just 100 meters from the Catinaccio lift. This alpine retreat offered more than just access to the slopes—it featured daily breakfast and dinner, a welcome cocktail, afternoon tea, and full access to the Rosengarten Wellness Center, complete with an indoor pool, Turkish bath, relaxation zone, and modern fitness center. Evening entertainment, free Wi-Fi, ski storage with boot dryers, and complimentary ski shuttles added extra convenience.
Skiers enjoyed direct access to the Dolomiti Superski area, which connects 15 resorts and over 1,200 km of trails. The legendary Sella Ronda loop, Marmolada Glacier, and the regions of Lusia, Carezza, and Latemar were all within reach—and guided ski tours were available for those looking to explore with locals. The full Ikon Pass was valid across the region, making it a fantastic option for seasoned skiers.
For those not skiing, side trips were in the works to explore the surrounding towns, natural beauty, and cultural landmarks of the South Tyrol region—adding variety and adventure for non-skiing companions.
With stunning alpine scenery, world-class skiing, warm Italian hospitality, and wellness amenities to match, the Dolomites trip was a truly immersive alpine experience—and a favorite among Uller’s travelers.

Innsbruck, Austria
Our trip to Innsbruck in January of 2023 offered a perfect blend of skiing and sightseeing in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Known for its Olympic history and historic charm, Innsbruck gave travelers the flexibility to explore at their own pace—whether on the slopes or in the city.
Skiers had access to eight different ski areas, each with its own terrain and views. Many kicked things off at the Stubaier Glacier, while those easing into the time change opted for a shorter day at Axamer Lizum, just outside the city. The region also offered day trips to renowned resorts like St. Anton and Ischgl, where adventurous skiers could cross the border into Switzerland on a 14 km trail to the village of Samnaun—passports not required, but backpacks could draw the attention of customs agents!
Non-skiers weren’t left out. Innsbruck itself is full of rich history and accessible attractions, including the Imperial Palace, the Grassmayr Bell Foundry, Schloss Ambras, and the Olympic Ski Jump. A ride up to Nordkette, high above the city, offered panoramic alpine views. Other highlights included a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria—the fairytale inspiration for Disney’s castle—and a train ride to Salzburg, where some guests enjoyed the Sound of Music Tour, explored hilltop castles, or visited Mozart’s birthplace.
On the final day in Innsbruck, travelers took advantage of any missed sights or got in one last day of skiing before transferring to Munich. While waiting for hotel check-in, the group stored luggage and explored the city center—home to historic beer halls like the Hofbräuhaus, the Royal Residence, and Freising’s own Weihenstephan Brewery, considered the oldest brewery in the world.
The trip wrapped up with an easy transfer to the airport, marking the end of an unforgettable Alpine adventure filled with skiing, sightseeing, and more than a few memorable meals.
